On June 2, 2026, the China (Zhejiang)–Australia–New Zealand Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference was successfully convened at the Yellow Dragon Hotel in Hangzhou. Hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhejiang Provincial Committee (CCPIT Zhejiang) and co-organized by the China Chamber of International Commerce Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce (CCOIC Zhejiang), the Australian Zhejiang Overseas Chinese Federation, the Zhejiang General Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand, and the Zhejiang Youth Entrepreneurs Association, the conference served as a key provincial platform for Zhejiang to engage with the Australian and New Zealand markets and deepen bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Dr. Wang Zheng, Director of Zhejiang T&H Law Firm, and He Xiaolong, Senior Partner, were among the invited participants.

The conference was chaired by Yan Jia, Vice President of CCPIT Zhejiang. Delivering opening addresses were Chen Jianzhong, President of CCPIT Zhejiang and CCOIC Zhejiang; Simon Woods, CEO of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AustCham Shanghai); and Geoff Lloyd, leader of the Australia–New Zealand delegation. Ji Yu, Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Division of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, provided an overview of Zhejiang’s economic landscape and business environment.

A highlight of the conference was the strategic partnership forged between Zhejiang T&H Law Firm and LEGALMENT AUSTRALIA. Dr. Wang Zheng and Han Jiazheng, Director of LEGALMENT AUSTRALIA, formalized a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement, marking the official inauguration of the T&H Law Firm (Australia) Liaison Office and the LEGALMENT AUSTRALIA (Hangzhou) Liaison Office. The signing ceremony was witnessed by a distinguished gathering that included He Xiaolong, Senior Partner of T&H Law Firm, and Shen Yujie of LEGALMENT AUSTRALIA. Vice President Yan Jia of CCPIT Zhejiang observed that this collaboration represents a significant step forward in strengthening legal services for foreign-related economic and trade matters between Zhejiang and Australia, and is poised to provide robust support for bilateral investment and commercial engagement.

The Australia Liaison Office is the fourteenth overseas office in T&H Law Firm’s global strategic network. As Australia – a major developed economy – enjoys ever-closer economic and trade ties with Zhejiang and two-way investment flows continue to gain momentum, the liaison office will concentrate its efforts in four key areas: legal safeguards for cross-border investment, dispute resolution and risk mitigation, resource integration and information sharing, and collaborative teamwork among legal professionals. Through these focused endeavors, the office will deliver tailored legal solutions to businesses on both sides – encompassing proactive risk management, full-lifecycle compliance support, efficient dispute resolution channels, and timely policy intelligence and regulatory updates.

Guided by its core philosophy of global perspective, professional excellence, and local execution, T&H Law Firm remains steadfast in its commitment to refining its global legal service network. Drawing on the collective strength of its overseas offices worldwide, the firm will stand firmly behind Zhejiang enterprises as they expand into international markets, and will continue to play a constructive role in promoting China–Australia economic and trade cooperation, as well as cross-border legal and cultural exchange.
